Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Practitioner Certificate
Children and young people with complex needs are presenting with increasingly high-risk, aggressive and controlling behaviours, driven by trauma, disrupted attachment and overwhelming stress—yet too many professionals and caregivers are being asked to manage this without the right tools or support.
Description
Traditional behaviour management approaches often escalate conflict, damage trust and leave adults feeling powerless and burned out. NVR training directly addresses this gap, equipping adults with a clear, ethical and highly effective framework to reduce violence, restore authority without force, strengthen relationships and create real, lasting change where it is most urgently needed.
Non Violent Resistance (NVR) is an innovative form of systemic family therapy, which has been developed for aggressive, violent, controlling and self-destructive behaviour in children & young people.
This 3 day NVR programme provides a model of practice for professionals & people working with vulnerable children, young people and families to address agressive, controlling and coersive behaviours. The structured model of NVR taught promotes a boundaried, connective and therapeutic caring/parenting approach.
