School Mental Health Leadership Programme Primary
New course starting Thursday 13th June 2024 9am - 4pm - Register your interest now. This Programme will enable leaders to effectively evaluate mental health needs within their setting & collaborate with the wider system to provide access to the highest quality support.
Description
By the end of the course, participants will have constructed a sustainable whole school plan to improve mental health outcomes for all members of the wider school’s community, which has been supported by Governors & embedded with the School Improvement Plan.
This will be as a result of:
- Understanding & identifying the mental health needs of the school;
- Developing practical skills that enable participants to evaluate pupil well-being,
- Work more effectively in partnership with local mental health services,
- Prioritising staff wellbeing;
- Developing a whole school approach where all members of the school community recognise & understand the importance of good mental health and by
- Promoting good mental health through the curriculum.
All of this will help to improve the learning & life chances of children & young people, & enhance the wellbeing of the adults in the school community.
